Every Aircraft I've Flown On

As a follow up to every airline I've flown on I want to write this, every aircraft I've flown on, going from the very smallest to the very biggest.

Flybe Bombardier Dash 8-Q400

Dash 8-Q400

The only propeller aircraft I've flown on is the Dash 8. For some reason this is one of my favourite aircraft, probably just because I find it so unique. I like the way that the wings are above the main cabin, giving uniterupted views of the land bellow, and also the fact that you always board it from the steps connected to the aircraft, giving a chance to view the aircraft from up-close. Definetly an aircraft I'd recommend that you fly at least once.

EasyJet A319 taxiing off the runway in Jersey

Airbus A320 family

I'm going to categorise the A319 and A320 together because there is not really that much to differentiate between the two apart from the size which I don't seem to really notice once inside the cabin. I like this aircraft because I fly on it so much, on both British Airways and EasyJet. It is reliable and you always know what you are going to get when you get on board, regardless of what airline is operating it. I'm not really sure there's that much more to say about it really beyond that.

Cayman Airways 737 in Grand Cayman

Boeing 737

I must admit I don't really have that many memories of flying on this aircraft. The only times I have were when British Airways still operated them from Gatwick, but I can not remeber anything about those flights really beyond enjoying the 2-2 seating configuration, and also on a short domestic flight in Mexico on one of AeroMexico's aircraft, which I remeber being highly impressive really, which comfortable seating and in flight entertainment. The one feature I do really like about them however is their split sharkelts which look really unique and impressive on the aircraft which they are fitted on.

United Airways 757

Boeing 757

I've only flown on this aircraft once. It was during a thunder storm taking off from New York JFK flying on an American Airways example and we were sitting at the back which made for quite a bumby ride, and I can't really remeber much else about it apart from that.

Boeing 767

Flew to and back from Cyprus on one of British Airways' aircraft. Very comfortable seats which were definetly better than the remainder of the rest of British Airways' short haul aircraft, even if some of the seats at the very back of the aircraft in the middle were in line with the loos on either side. Is a shame to see them finally be being retired by British Airways, but will expect them to carry on operating into London Heathrow for a few more years by the various North American carriers.

Qatar A330 at London Heathrow

Airbus A330

Very good aircraft. The Thai Airways aircraft I have flown on was full of colour which was enjoyable to most airline's use of darker duller colours. I was also a very big fan of only having two seats by the window, which makes it feel like you have much more space around you. Comfortable plane and could have easily spent longer on it than the short hour long flight I flew it for.

The basis of many airline's long haul fleets there isn't really much wrong with this aircraft. Will be intregued to see what effect Britsh Airways' densification of their Gatwick fleet has on room on the aircraft but from my experience there isnt really anything wrong with this aircraft but also at the same time nothing that makes it stand out from any other aircraft. My only memories of it are at either end of a long holiday so that probably dosen't help it stand out either seeing as I've never seen flying it as a highlight.

Virign Atlantic 747 at London Gatwick

Boeing 747

The boeing 747 - the queen of the skies - is by far my favourite aircraft to see. There is still for me some excitment I get whenever I see this aircraft never mind fly on it. I feel fortunate to have flown on it so much over the years and really hope that I will be able to fly on it more before it is eventually retired from most airline's fleets in the coming years. I love the hump on the top and I am absolutely desperate to get to sit up there one day. This is also the only aircraft I've ever got to sit in first class in, which was an experience I will not forget any time soon.

Singapore Airlines A380 at London Heathrow

Airbus A380

The A380 is the most impressive aircraft that I have flown on. Flying on it twice in the summer I was highly highly impressed by it. Unlike the 747, on the upper deck it does not have that feeling that you have been squeezed on upstairs. I also loved the grand stair case at the very front of the aircraft as well as the largest loos that I have ever experienced on an aircraft. These feature combined with the surprsising lack of noise and aircraft of this size has and the more creative cabins many airlines have installed on these aircraft make it the absolute favourite aircraft that I have ever flown on.
